This Is What Freedom Is Like

Today is a day I can feel good about. I had my last glass of red 1825 days ago. That adds up to 5 years. I was drinking 8 - 10 every evening after working a big job all day. I had done this for years. My doctors told me I would die. I went for some tests. My enzymes were all over the place.

My shrink had been working with me on several issues. One of these is alcohol. Somehow, I was functioning at a high level. I was told I could not keep up the pace.

On Valentine's Day 2019, I threw out another empty 150 L of Merlot. I haven't had a drink since. My story is well documented. I've been writing a lot and am working on my memoir. Here I will be explaining what life is like post-alcohol.
